You can beat your skin’s enemies with honey because it is loaded with many vitamins and minerals. Honey has the ability to fight with microbes which can damage your skin.

A honey face mask is the only facial treatment from which you can see the result from the very first use.

Applying honey face mask regularly on your skin can give you healthy, younger-looking and glowing skin.

A honey face mask treatment has been used for centuries and it is very effective on the skin as it builds your skin’s defenses against bacterial and fungal infections.

It makes skin soft, supple and bright. Honey is also effective in treating acne, psoriasis, and eczema.

My favorite is turmeric and honey face mask because my skin is a combination to oily type and this mask helps me to control face oil, zits and gives a healthy glow to my skin.

I love to harvest nature’s blessing on my skin and hair and it doesn’t have any side effect too.

What Is The Best Kind Of Honey For A Honey Face Mask?

There are 2 types of honey which are good for the skin.

One is Unfiltered Raw Honey and the other is Manuka honey.

Unfiltered Raw Honey

Unfiltered Raw Honey is the best type of honey for the honey face mask and honey face cleansers.

It’s thick, creamy, a little crunchy, and there are bits of stuff in it. If you’re looking for a bit of exfoliation and extra skin protection, this is the perfect honey type.

Those chunky bits are wax, propolis, and other elements of honeycombs that come with the honey when it’s harvested.

Unfiltered raw honey has more antibiotic, anti-fungal, antimicrobial and antiviral properties; and antioxidant flavonoids.

Manuka honey

Manuka honey is known to be especially good for blemish-prone skin and acne, possibly because the pollen is for it is derived from the flowers of the Tea tree bush.

The Manuka tea tree has been shown to have strong antifungal effects and antioxidant activity.

Apart from its blemish-treating prowess, Manuka honey is also famous for its ability to stimulate tissue healing which helps to fade scars and dark spots. (Source)

The only thing about Manuka is that it’s not very moisturizing, so you might want to just use it on the areas of your face with acne, pustules, or wounds – that’ll save you some bucks as well.

How Often To Apply  Honey On Your Face?

You can apply unfiltered raw honey or manuka honey daily to your face.

Daily application of honey will provide essential nutrients to the skin and makes skin glowing and bright.

Honey has the ability to rejuvenate the skin, cleanse it, and have a very beneficial effect on acne.

Honey exfoliates the dead cells and unclogs the blocked pore and makes skin smooth and hydrated.

Let’s see what are the benefits of the honey face mask for beautiful skin.

      Hi Heather,
This should not happen. If you are facing this, then I think you have skin sensitivity with this oil. Try to increase the proportion of honey by 1 tablespoon or reduce the amount of frankincense oil to 1 drop.
Let me know if you face any issues.

The masks which do not have water content can be stored and used. For example, the masks made from honey and oils can be stored.
Also, make sure that you use dark colored glass container only and keep the container away from direct light.
