There is no need for taking external supplements for improving your hair when you can have them through your regular food items. It is essential to strike the right balance. Let us look at some foods you can have daily to improve the growth of your hair. Your hair needs a constant source of proteins, minerals, and vitamins for it to grow strong. The following foods can fit the bill perfectly. Ensure to make it a vital part of your daily diet.
12 Best Foods For Fast Hair growth, Thick & Strong Hair
1. EGGS: Source of Keratin – an essential protein for hair growth
Keratin is the principal protein you need for strong hair growth. One of the natural sources of proteins is eggs. Eating an egg a day is helpful to nourish the hair protein levels. It is pertinent to note that it is not the egg white but the yolk that helps to make your hair look long, lustrous, and beautiful. In fact, the egg whites have the capacity to block the absorption of biotin.
2. SPINACH: Supplement iron content in the body
One of the main reasons for hair loss is the deficiency of iron in the body. This deficiency of iron causes a shortage of supply of oxygen and nutrients to the hair follicle thereby making the hair strands weak. Supplement the amount of iron in your body by having a regular dose of spinach in your food every day.
3. CITRUS FRUITS: Excellent source of Vitamin C
In order to absorb iron from the different foods you eat, your body requires an adequate supply of Vitamin C. Citrus fruits like lemon, sweet lime, and oranges are excellent sources of Vitamin C. This Vitamin C is essential for the production of collagen, the protein responsible for strengthening the hair shafts. Collagen is useful in the sense that it strengthens the capillaries connecting to the hair shafts. Even consuming one glass of lemon juice a day is enough to ensure an adequate supply of Vitamin C. It would be proper if you take this lemon juice with honey instead of sugar or salt.
4. NUTS AND SEEDS: Best places to get your Omega-3 fats
Your hair needs Omega-3 fats to make it thick and strong. Our body is not capable of producing Omega-3 fats. The best way to have it is to consume nuts like almonds and walnuts. Flax seeds also contain adequate quantities of Omega-3 fats. It is good to consume these nuts and seeds as your mid-meal snacks.
5. WHOLE GRAINS: Storehouse of amino acids
Amino acids are types of proteins responsible for thick hair growth. One of the best ways of augmenting the supply of amino acids is to have whole grains. These grains are rich in Biotin. This substance plays a vital role in cell proliferation thereby resulting in the production of adequate quantities of amino acids.
6. CARROTS: Multiple benefits, but mainly a great source of Vitamin A
How can any hair growth solution be complete without mentioning the contribution of vitamin A? In fact, you need Vitamin A for the healthy growth of each cell in the body. Carrots are an excellent source of vitamin A. Ensure to have carrot juice daily as it helps in the production of sebum oil that is responsible for strengthening the hair roots. Eating whole carrots can also be very helpful for making your hair strong and healthy.
7. AVOCADOS: Improve blood circulation and maintain pH balance
Your hair requires proper circulation of blood. This ensures that your hair follicles work efficiently. Vitamin E is the primary requirement to improve blood circulation. Balancing the pH levels is important because a high pH level can cause clogging of the hair follicles. Avocados are one of the greatest sources of Vitamin E. Add it to your salad or have it as a smoothie. The additional advantage of having avocado in your diet is that it is rich in monounsaturated fats.

They also contain adequate quantities of Omega-3 fats. Consumption of salmon helps in making the hair follicles strong thereby resulting in a stronger mop of hair.

Citrus fruits do contain Vitamin C, but yellow peppers are a much stronger source of this vitamin. This vitamin makes the hair shaft and follicles stronger.
