Hair Care Guide For How To Get Rid Of Grey Hair

1. Avoid stress for getting rid of grey hair

Stress is a powerful enemy that harms our skin, hair, and health. Excessive stress causes hair whitening at a young age. Youngsters are surrounded by a lot of pressure in life. To ease your stress:

  • Take out some time to relax and ease your anxieties by doing meditation or yoga.
  • When you feel any stress or tension, pause and take a moment to breathe deeply.
  • Smile and laugh often.
  • Go for walking or jogging to keep yourself fit and stress-free.

2. Heat Protection

Excessive heat and sweat make the scalp dry. The hair follicles become weak and start to age. As a result, hair goes grey and white. Use caps and umbrellas whenever you step out in the sun. Avoid hot water bath and avoid blow drying hair.

3. Eat Vitamin B12 and Vitamin C-Rich Food.

Vitamin B12 and C are two such vital vitamins for hair that are necessary for preventing grey hair. When free radicals strike your blood, your systems are slow to respond, including your ability to produce melanocytes which are meant to maintain the color of your hair. Vitamins B12 and C maintain your blood clean, which contribute to improving your liver’s filtration function. Citrus fruits, green leafy vegetables, seeds, yeast, cheese, avocados, oranges, plums and cranberry and nuts are the good source of these vitamins.

4. Consume healthy and nutritious diet to prevent grey hair.

You should have a nutritious diet comprising of five servings of vegetables and three servings of fruit every day, including nuts, blackberries, pineapples, pomegranates, almonds and pumpkin seeds.

Your hair is made of complex proteins that provide strength, growth and lively color to your hair. Your diet should include a couple of 3 to 4 oz. servings of protein every day. A lesser intake of protein can cause premature grey hair.

Processed foods, chips and other snacks are laden with salt and can damage your hair. As carbs inhibit the absorption of antioxidants, therefore it’s better to avoid high-carb food, like white bread and pasta.

5. Quit Smoking to get rid of grey hair.

Smoking has consistently been linked to premature greying. In a study in the Indian Dermatology Online Journal of more than 200 people, smokers were 2.5 times more likely to experience premature greying (before age 30) than nonsmokers. Another study, in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, linked smoking to premature greying in young men. The mechanism, similar to one proposed for stress, is that free radicals (produced by smoking) may damage the cells that produce melanin.

6. Use Biotin-Rich Hair Products.

It is called the hair growth vitamin. It is one of the 12 vitamins in the Vitamin B family. It repairs brittle hair and improves its health and texture.

Biotin is known to work wonders for hair volume and thickness. It aids in the production of fatty acids within the cells and facilitates their growth. Biotin is a water-soluble vitamin, which means that daily intake of it is necessary to ensure healthy hair. The use of biotin rich hair cosmetics is also a wonderful mean to restore the natural black color of your hair.

7. Start oiling your hair.

Oiling hair regularly is the most effective treatment towards hair problems. Hair problems, which include hair loss, split ends, frizz, dullness, thinning and greying of hair, has a single solution – Oiling.

It is believed that regular usage of oil prevents pre-mature and greying of hair. Not only that, regular usage of oil also keeps your hair, strong and healthy.

A hair oil massage is a way it penetrates the skin. A shampoo-conditioner, no matter how good its components, can’t match the way hair oil goes deep into the skin and does its job revitalizing the skin tissue.

8. Apply natural dye to cover grey hair.

Switch to using homemade natural dyes that are a warehouse of scalp nourishing ingredients. Use Black Tea, coffee, and henna to cover your grey hair which is chemical free and harmless.

9. Use natural conditioner

Instead of using the chemical-loaded hair conditioners, try some homemade nourishing natural hair conditioners to promote hair growth and demote hair whitening. Apply natural hair mask to make hair smooth and manageable.

10. Stop using Chemical filled hair care products.

Did you know that when you shower or wash your hair, your skin soaks up the products you are using? If you always go for products with a lot of chemicals, man-made ingredients such as parabens or sulfates, they end up being absorbed by your skin.

These are still widely used in shampoos and conditioners. The potential harm is greater for those who wash their hair daily as the toxins come into contact with their scalp more often.

Using natural and organic products for your hair are a strong fundamental foundation to keep you and your hair safe and healthy. Here’s what you should look for when purchasing hair care products:

  • Free of harmful chemicals, irritants, or preservatives
  • Non-allergenic
  • Carefully formulated with all natural, organic ingredients
  • GMO-free
  • Never tested on animals

Alternately, one of the easiest ways to promote healthy hair and scalp is to make hair care products yourself from inexpensive, natural ingredients—more on that shortly.

11. Avoid Hair styling irons and products.

Some of the most damaging hair products on the market today are styling products. Some of the ingredients in mousses, gels, and hairsprays are also used in other products such as plastics, Lubricants for engines, Engine degreasers etc.
Switching to 100% natural styling products is often one of the last steps in people’s lives to becoming chemical free when it should really be the first. There are many side effects of these chemicals:

  • Hair loss and hair thinning
  • greying of hair
  • Irritation of the eyes, nose, throat, and skin
  • Dry hair and skin
  • Destroy hair shafts
  • Carcinogenic ingredients

The most common sources of hair damage are heat stylings such as hot irons, straighteners, and hot blow dryers. Avoid these as much as possible to avoid the damage they cause.

One of the side effects of heat styling is excessive dryness. Use of hair dryer makes the situation even worse. Hair loses its natural moisture to a great extent; it begins to look dull and frizzy every time you step out.

      Hi Esinone,
No, both are different. Black seed oil is extracted from the seeds of Nigella sativa, a plant native to southwest Asia (commonly called black cumin). And, Palm kernel oil, which is extracted from the nut, or kernel, of a species of African palm tree, is commonly referred to as tropical oil.
