In this study altogether 18 participants were enrolled, who applied tea tree oil products to the face twice daily for 12 weeks. After 12 weeks the results showed that the use of the tea tree oil products significantly improved mild to moderate acne and that the products were well tolerated(source).
2. Lemon Juice And Aloe Vera For Acne And Scars

- 1/2 Teaspoon Lemon juice
Take aloe vera gel and add lemon juice to it and mix well.
Apply this mask on your face and let it stay for 20 minutes. Make sure to apply the mask on the acne-affected area. Wipe it off with a warm and damp cotton cloth after 20-30 minutes. Repeat this for 2-3 times in a week.
Lemon juice contains citric acid which has great astringent properties. Citric acids reduce excess oil(sebum) clogged up in the skin pores (1). This helps make your skin clean. Take aloe vera gel and rosehip oil and mix them well.
Apply this gel on your cleansed face daily as a moisturizer. Repeat this every day until you see results.
Rosehip oil contains vitamin A and Vitamin E which are very important for treating acne. Vitamin A helps reduces excess oil(sebum) on the surface of your skin. The patients with the controls and group 1 with group 2 were compared. It was found that the level of vitamin E, vitamin A and zinc were significantly lower than the control group. This shows that supportive treatment with vitamin A, vitamin E, and Zinc in severe acne may lead to satisfactory results(source).

Combine activated charcoal and aloe vera gel in a bowl and make a gel mask.
Apply the mask gently on your cleansed face. Avoid the area around your eyes and mouth. Make sure your fingers are neat and clean before you apply the mask. Keep the mask on for 25-30 minutes.
